In my spiritual journey, I strive to open myself to my life in ever deeper measure, knowing that God is present as the foundation of all my experiences.
I find this journey wonderfully represented by the image of a patonce cross, which has long been a meaningful symbol for me. As the image portrays, the ends of each arm open out. I imagine a flower bud opening to the rays of the sun. As a Christian I see the progressive stages of grace opening me to a greater relationship with Christ.
In sharing the gift of spiritual direction I invite you into this ongoing journey of the “opening up” of your life. Ideally, this increased awareness of your inner richness leads to a deeper understanding of yourself. This, in turn, supports your ongoing personal transformation through choices more consistent with the person you have been created to be.
